Calling all Hearties! Hallmark Channel has finally announced when we’ll return to Hope Valley. Grab a blanket, a hot cup of tea and settle into the couch on Sunday, March 6th at 8pm ET for the season 9 premiere of our beloved When Calls the Heart. Once again this season, we have 12 episodes to look forward to, and we cannot wait for the road ahead.

Season 8 left off with the BIG decision, you know which one I’m talking about. Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) finally broke free from the love triangle and picked Lucas (Chris McNally). We can’t wait to see how their love develops, moving from courtship to a deeper love. Will their love find smooth sailing, or is it bumpy waters ahead as they get to know more about each other’s pasts?

Now, if you were Team Nathan (Kevin McGarry) I know how disappointed you were about Elizabeth’s choice. BUT, maybe, just maybe there’s still hope for you. After all, this is Hope Valley.

The end of season 8 also saw Lee (Kavan Smith) and Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) pursuing new career paths as well as the Hope Valley mayoral race with some town members running against each other. Will the heated competition divide Lee and Bill (Jack Wagner)?

The community might look a little different, with Jesse (Aren Bucholz) and Clara (Eva Bourne) making their new home in Montana. And we haven’t heard a peep about Dr. Carson Shepherd (Paul Greene). He left Hope Valley at the end of Season 8 and then … silence. Does that mean Faith (Andrea Brooks) will officially become the town doctor?

Little Jack will also look different, as the twin actors who played him in the past have decided to leave the show. Newcomer Hyland Goodrich will step in to fill the role.

Is there progress ahead for Hope Valley? Who knows. There are so many questions to answer.  We’ll just have to wait and find out on Sunday, March 6th.
